September 30th: Inner Child Workshop

$44.44

🌱 INNER CHILD WORKSHOP

Remember how to play again.

WHAT:

Many of us learned to take life very seriously for many reasons:

  • Some of us had to grow up fast because our nurturers and/or caregivers did not have the capacity or knowledge toin was unsafe.

  • The expectations of the people we looked up to was so high that we thought we constantly needed to be the best at everything in order to receive love.

  • It was the only way to survive.

  • We learned how to be responsible, to achieve, to perform, constantly plan for the future, and how to make the “right” choices because we learned to measure our time by how much we accomplished.

As a result, play (and rest) became a waste of time and unproductive.

But the playful parts of you didn't disappear.

There was once the curious kid who wanted to explore everything and spend hours wilderness soup while playing in dirt.
There’s still that version of you who danced around the living room, made up games, got messy, asked a million questions, and didn't care whether anyone thought it was cringe.

They're still there.

This Inner Child Workshop is an evening to reconnect with those parts of yourself through creativity, reflection, play, and curiosity.

We'll explore what your inner child might still want you to know, what brought you joy before the world told you what you should enjoy, and how you can make more room for those things in your life today.

This isn't about becoming your childhood self again.

It's about remembering who you were before the world told you who to be.

This is a space to put down the pressure to perform for a couple of hours and remember that you are allowed to experience joy simply because you're here.
