See Yourself Differently 🪞

WHEN:
Monday, September 14 | 6:30–8:30 PM

WHERE:
Archipelago Denver
2345 7th St, Denver, CO 80211

WHAT:

When was the last time you looked at yourself and actually thought, “damn, I’m pretty fucking delightful. I love spending time with me.”

This is an evening to slow down, get a little creative, and practice being kinder to the person you see in the mirror.

Together, we'll decorate our own mirrors using paint, clay and other creative supplies. There’s no right way to do it, just an invitation to get a little messy, experiment, and create something that feels uniquely yours.

Join us for a creative evening of self-love, reflection, and play as we decorate our own mirrors while exploring the relationship between self-talk, self-image, and the way we show up in the world.

We will be “reflecting” on everything that has gotten us here:

  • The things we've been through

  • The ways we've grown

  • All the little versions of ourselves that helped us along the way

  • The internal battles we fought that we never told anyone about

The way we talk to ourselves matters influences that way we show up externally.

If you're constantly telling yourself you're incapable, not good enough, not worthy, or should be doing more, eventually those thoughts start to shape how you move through the world.

The stories we tell ourselves become the lens through which we see ourselves. That lens can influence the paths we take, the boundaries we set, and ultimately how we should up in relationships, friendships, and communities.

What would happen if we talked to ourselves with more compassion?

A little more like we would talk to our best friend.
A little more like we'd talk to the younger version of ourselves.

Why do we constantly put ourselves down and make ourselves small?

Because honestly, your inner child would probably be so proud of you.

They know everything you've figured out and everything you're still becoming.

While we create, we'll take some time to reflect on that and think about how we can carry a little more kindness toward ourselves into our everyday lives.

You'll leave with a mirror you've made yourself, some time to slow down, and hopefully a reminder that you deserve to love the person looking back at you.

Come make something pretty, get little messy. Reflect on how far you've come. And maybe practice seeing yourself a little differently. 🪞🌱

You'll leave with:

🪞 Your own hand-decorated mirror
🎨 A creative space to play with clay + paint
✍️ Guided reflection + self-love prompts
🌱 Practices for kinder self-talk
🧸 A chance to connect with your inner child
✨ Thoughtful conversation + connection

WHO:

This is for you if you...

  • Prioritize others over yourself

  • Are crashing out every other day and overwhelmed with life

  • Are really good at being kind to everyone except yourself

  • Have a loud inner critic that won’t shut up

  • Are constantly putting pressure on yourself to do more or be better

  • Could use a reminder of how far you've actually come

  • Want to reconnect with your younger self

  • Love making things with your hands and getting a little mess

  • Want to be offline surrounded by good people without having to achieve anything

As always, you don’t need any artistic background to participate. Come as you are and bring a friend!
